Sikkim Black Tea First Out on Open Thread Monday

I am celebrating my new career path as an author, by reflecting on how I can create educational, entertaining, and engaging content on a regular basis. I have a goal to publish three (3) posts per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Weekend) on. I start out the week with an open thread question: What’s in Your cup? What kind of beverage do you start your day with?

I am drinking an very exclusive black tea from the Himalayas (North East India). You have probably heard about Darjeeling and Assam, but not so much about the former independent kingdom, Sikkim.  The tea is from the Temi tea garden and the quality grade has the following “row” of letters: FTGFOP ( Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe). According to Wikipedia, the number “1” is an indication that the tea is “limited to only the highest quality leaves in the FTGFOP classification.” I have to do research on the letters, CL, and investigate if it is standing for “clonal”.

I have posted this photo on Rate My Tea’s Facebook group, and I am 🤔 thinking of writing ✍️ a review of this tea on Steepster’s tea forum.
