I am up middle of the night, or early morning, depending on how you look at it. π I have lately been burning the midnight oil. During my school years, I pulled some all-nighters, so am used to be a night watchman. The good thing is that you could stay awake by drinking tea! π
I am getting closer to the publishing date, and I am thinking about the next step of the self-publishing journey: marketing. And at the same time, my mind is going back and forth between planning for the next book on (specialty black teas), and how to improve the writing process of the second book…
I did a search on the keyword, “self-publishing” and stumbled upon the following:
- Carl-Johan Forssen Ehrlin, a Role Model for Self-Publishing – The New York Times
- For me, traditional publishing means poverty. But self-publish? No way – The Guardian
- Here’s How Digital Self-Publishing Has Changed Over The Last 3 Years – Forbes
- Start Here: How to Self-Publish Your Book – Jane Friedman
Thanks to the web search, I ended up buying the Kindle edition of Jane Friedman’s book,Β Publishing 101: A First-Time Authorβs Guide to Getting Published, Marketing and Promoting Your Book, and Building a Successful Career.
HI Lyceum, oh yes I have done that many a night and early am in the world of self publishing. There are so many things to do and marketing will take a lot of your time too.
Best wishes with it!
Lisa,
Thanks for your comment! Are you drinking tea during your sessions of self-publishing?
Yes, so many things to do, and so little time… π
All the Best,
Martin
